Frequently Asked Questions :
- Q: How does Directory Link Submitter actuallywork?
A: Directory Link Submitter is very easy to use. Just follow the following 3 steps to submitting a site:
Create a profile for the site you want to submit. This is information that everysite requires, such as the sites URL, your email adddress, keywords associated with the site etc.
- Then, click on a directoy that you wish to navigate to (using the supplied list of directories on the left hand site). Look through the directory and find the category and subcategory that your site should belong in. If you can't find a suitable category, try typing in a common term associated with your site and see where the other sites associated with that term are located, then simply navigate to that sub-category.
- Find the link on the page that allows you to submit a site. Look for a link that says something like "Submit a Site" or "Suggest a site" or "Add URL", you get the idea and then click on it. This will return a form asking for details about your site. Then simply press the "Fill Form" button located in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and the information you typed into the profile will be automatically inserted into the form. If you want to change the data, or add additional data, simply make the changes manually. Once you are happy with the data in the form, simply press the submit button on the form.
Done!! Now move onto the next site and repeat the process again and again..
Q: So it doesn't automatically submit my site to the directories? Does it mean I will have to visit every single site?
A: Correct!! Gone are the days where you could automcatically submit your site to hundreds of link directories without every actually visiting the link directory. The link directories don't like these automatic submission tools, as their list rapidly become full of useless junk sites, that downgrades the value of their directory.
So if you want to submit to the quality ("good neighbourhood") sites, then you will have to visit every site at least once.. Don't worry, its doesn't take long! I submited one of my sites to over 300 link directories each having a Google PR of 3 or higher (some having a PR of 8) , in half a day!!
Q: Is there anything special about this list of directories?
A: We have searched for the most popular SEO friendly directory lists out there.
To qualify as a SEO friendly site, the list directory had to pass a direct link back to your website, NO Redirect allowed!!
Once we have a list of SEO friendly site, we then run our own Page Rank checking script to independently verify the Page Ranks of all sites. We then verify that the directories are still accepting submissions.
Q: What kind of directories does Directory Submitter provide?
A: Directory Submitter provides access to 854 quality SEO friendly link directories. They are divided into 3 different groups:
Free Sites- These are directories that require nothing from you to get listed.
Reciprocal Sites - These are directories that require a link back to them before they will accept your site.
Paid Sites - These are directories that require a payment beforfe they will accept your site.
The general rule of thumb is "Free directories have the lowerst submission success rate, while Reciprocal and paid have a much higher submission success rate"
Q: How quickly will it be before my site is accpeted.
A : Directories sometimes hold submissions in a queue for a quite a while before reviewing/publishing a site, some sites can take weeks or months before reviewing your site. Others will accept your site on the day you submit it.
Q: Can I add my own directories in to the submitter that I find online.
A: No! Not as this stage.
Q : Can I use multiple titles and descriptions?
A:
Yes, you can use as many different title and descriptions as you wish.
Simply enter in as many different title and descriptions into the profile belonging to that site, and then when the submission form is filled out by Directory Link Submitter, it will randomly choose a title and randomly choose a ddescripion for you to use.
If you don't like the title-description combo, simply press the "Fill Form"button again and a new set f randomly selected titles and descriptions will be inserted. Remember: The combination of titles and descriptions is random, that means the same combination of titles and descriptions may come up quite a few times in a row.
The more titles and descriptions you have, the less the probabilty of having the same combination selected again and again.. Try to aim for at least 3 different tiles and 3 different descriptions (mathematically this will give you 9 different combinations that can be possibly selected).
Q : How can I make sure I get the maximum acceptance rate?
- Always use the email address associated with your domain in your submission form.
So if you are submitting www.DirectoryLinkSubmitter.com, then make sure you have an email address that looks like yourname@directorylinksubmitter.com
- Double check your spelling before sending us your form. Bad spellin and poor grammar can cause your submissions to fail.
- Choose your categories and keywords carefully.
- Don't use matketing speak (hype) when describing your site.
Avoid descriptions like "Revolutionary new Software that will Instantly Sky Rocket Your Online Earning". Instead use something like "Widows based software that can help track and organize your online activities".
Q :I have checked several directories and don't see my site listed.
A:
Directories sometimes hold submissions in a queue for a quite a while before reviewing/publishing a site, some sites can take weeks or months before reviewing your site.
It's best to wait a couple weeks at least to confirm your listing. Also keep in mind, that your site won't be accepted to every directory that it is submitted to. The decision to accept your site is up to the individual directories owner's discretion.
